Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Craftific ("the Service", "we", "our") is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Craftific is a web-based platform for sellers of digital products, available at https://craftific.com. For any privacy question or request, contact contactus@craftific.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you actively provide, and information your device sends automatically when you use the Service:

• Account data — your email address and name, received from the sign-in provider you choose.
• Session data — authentication tokens that keep you signed in.
• Preferences and generated content — brand details, colour choices, and the templates and listings you create. Most of this is stored in your own browser rather than on our servers.
• Log and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time spent, and technical error details.

Log data may not identify you on its own, but it can in combination with other information.

3. How We Use Information

We only use personal information where we have a legitimate reason to do so, and only as far as is reasonably necessary to:

• create your account and keep you signed in;
• provide, personalise, and improve the Service;
• respond to your requests and support enquiries;
• maintain security, prevent abuse and fraud, and diagnose faults.

We do not use the content you generate for any purpose beyond fulfilling your request.

Anonymous activity counts. When you check, start or publish a product idea, we add one to an anonymous daily count for that idea's subject (for example, "ADHD cleaning planner"), so other sellers can see how many Craftific sellers are making it. We do not store your name, account ID, shop or listing data with these counts, each account counts at most once per subject per day, and counts below three are never shown. You can turn this off in Settings under Session & Data Controls.

4. Connected Accounts

You may choose to connect a third-party seller account, such as an online marketplace or social platform. If you do, you are redirected to that provider's own consent screen, where you approve the specific permissions requested. We request only the minimum permissions needed for the features you use, and access tokens are stored securely and never exposed in your browser. You can disconnect at any time from your account settings, or revoke access directly with that provider. Each provider's own privacy policy governs the data it holds about you.

Etsy. If you connect your Etsy shop, Craftific acts as your service provider and reads, only when you use a feature: your shop name and ID, your own listings (to edit or publish them), and your own orders and transactions (to show your sales dashboard). Orders can include your buyers' names, shipping addresses and order details; these are shown only to you, are not stored on our servers, are kept in your browser for at most a few hours, and are never used for any other purpose. We store only your encrypted Etsy access token and your shop ID; a copy of your own listings is kept on our server for at most 15 minutes so your screens load quickly, and is cleared whenever you edit or publish through Craftific. We never sell Etsy data, never use it for advertising, and never combine one seller's shop data with another's. Craftific does not collect other sellers' Etsy listings or marketplace data.

Shopify. If you connect a Shopify store, we store its address and an encrypted access token, and use it only to create the draft products you ask for. We do not read your Shopify customers or orders.

Weekly email. If you turn on the weekly “what to make this week” email in Settings, we store your email address and that choice, and send the email through our email delivery provider. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can turn it off in Settings at any time.

Your own sales and listing views. Listing Health reads your own orders and your listings’ views from Etsy, only when you open it, to show which listings sell and your best days. These are shown only to you and are not stored on our servers or shared.

Sales files you add. The Sales Report reads the export files you choose (from Etsy, Shopify, Gumroad, Payhip or elsewhere) inside your browser; they are not uploaded. Buyer names, emails and addresses in those files are discarded on import, and the remaining figures (dates, products, amounts, country) are kept only on your device until you clear them.

Gumroad and Payhip. Craftific prepares files for you to upload yourself; we do not connect to or receive data from these services.

5. Analytics and Cookies

We use third-party analytics and product-usage providers to understand how visitors navigate the Service. These may collect anonymised usage data including pages visited, session duration, device and browser type, approximate geographic region derived from an anonymised IP address, referring source, and interaction data such as clicks and scrolling, which may be used to reconstruct anonymised recordings of a session. We do not send personally identifying information to these providers.

If you visit through a creator's affiliate link, we store its referral code in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days. We record the affiliate code, landing page path, and referring website host for attribution; after sign-in, we may associate the referral with your account and checkout attempts. Click and signup records are retained for up to 365 days, checkout-attempt records for up to 90 days, and confirmed subscription commission records for accounting and payout history.

We use cookies and similar browser storage for two purposes only: keeping you signed in, and the analytics described above. Analytics providers are Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (which can reconstruct anonymised session recordings). Analytics cookies are only set, and Clarity is only loaded, after you accept them in the cookie banner; until then Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode. You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings. We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies. Sign-in will not work if you block authentication storage.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers necessary to operate the Service — including authentication, hosting, data storage, and analytics providers — and only to the extent needed for them to provide those services. We may also disclose information to courts, regulators, or law enforcement where required by law. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

The providers we currently use are:

• Supabase — account sign-in and database storage.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, our API, and research-data storage.
• Anthropic and Google (Gemini) — AI generation. The text or images you submit to an AI feature are sent to these providers to produce the result.
• Dodo Payments — checkout and subscription billing (acts as merchant of record; we never see your card details).
• Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — analytics, only with your consent (see section 5).
• DataForSEO — search volume. The keyword phrases you research (for example "adhd planner") are sent to DataForSEO to look up Google and Amazon search volume. No account or personal details are sent, and results are cached and shared between users.
• Etsy, Pinterest, Printify and Shopify — only if you connect those accounts. Access tokens are stored encrypted and used only to act on your behalf (see section 4).
• Web3Forms — receives the details you type into the Creator Program application form (name, email, channel) so we can reply to you.

Some of these providers operate outside your country. Where information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with this policy.

7. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it. Account data is retained until you delete your account; analytics data is retained for a limited period per our providers' standard retention settings; access tokens for connected accounts are retained until you disconnect or revoke them. Content stored in your browser is cleared when you clear your browser data. Where information is no longer required, we delete it or remove the details that identify you, unless we must keep it to meet a legal or accounting obligation.

8. Security

We protect the information we hold within commercially acceptable means, including HTTPS across the Service and encrypted storage of authentication tokens and access credentials. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute data security. You are responsible for the strength and security of your own password. We will comply with the laws applicable to us in respect of any data breach. If a security incident affects data from a connected account, we will notify affected users without undue delay and, where Etsy data is involved, notify Etsy and the affected sellers within 24 hours of discovering it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to it or withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights — including deleting your account and all associated data — email contactus@craftific.com from the address you sign in with. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change, and we will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
