Part of: How to Sell Notion Templates: Etsy, Gumroad & More · Notion template business
This Notion price guide gives a starting price range for your template: pick your buyer and how complete it is, then check it against the market and the fees each platform takes. The ranges are starting points, not measured averages.
Most Notion templates sell for $5–$40 on Etsy: simple single-purpose trackers at the low end, linked multi-page systems in the middle, and full business "operating systems" for coaches, realtors and freelancers at the top. Price to what the buyer gains, check the top ten listings in your niche, and remember Etsy keeps more of each sale than Gumroad.
The calculator above uses these ranges. They are Craftific's working starting points, compiled from browsing Etsy and the Notion Marketplace — not averages of measured sales — so check them against your own niche before you list.
| Buyer | Simple (1–3 pages) | Moderate (4–10 pages, linked databases) | Comprehensive (full system) | Templates that sell |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coaches and consultants | $9–15 | $19–29 | $39–79 | Client portal, CRM, session tracker |
| Freelancers | $7–12 | $15–25 | $29–59 | Project tracker, invoice hub, client log |
| Students | $5–9 | $9–17 | $19–35 | Semester planner, assignment tracker |
| Teachers | $7–12 | $14–22 | $25–49 | Lesson planner, student tracker |
| Realtors | $12–19 | $22–39 | $49–99 | Listing tracker, client pipeline |
| Photographers | $9–14 | $17–27 | $34–69 | Booking system, shoot log |
| Wellness practitioners | $8–13 | $15–24 | $29–55 | Client intake, session notes |
| Writers and creators | $7–11 | $13–21 | $25–45 | Content calendar, story bible |
| Solopreneurs | $9–15 | $18–28 | $35–69 | Business hub, goals tracker, SOPs |
Insight: The audience moves the price more than the page count. A 6-page client tracker sells for more to a realtor than a 20-page life planner sells to a student, because the realtor earns money from it. Price to the buyer's return, not your hours.
Craftific's weekly pipeline samples Gumroad's Business & Money section for Notion templates. On 18 October 2026, 36 of the 2,707 listed templates gave these listed prices:
| 25th percentile | Median | 75th percentile | 90th percentile | Free in sample |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $57 | $99 | $199.99 | $253 | 1 of 36 |
These are far above typical Etsy prices because the section is dominated by full business systems sold to an existing audience — CRMs, agency operating systems, content businesses. They show the ceiling for a serious business template, not where a new Etsy listing should start.

| Price | Etsy: you keep | Gumroad direct: you keep | Gumroad Discover: you keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5 | $4.08 | $3.55 | $3.50 |
| $10 | $8.60 | $7.91 | $7.00 |
| $20 | $17.65 | $16.62 | $14.00 |
| $40 | $35.75 | $34.04 | $28.00 |
| $79 | $71.05 | $68.01 | $55.30 |
Gumroad rates as published in 2026; Etsy Offsite Ads, if a sale comes from one, add 12–15%. Confirm current fees on each platform.
On fees alone Etsy keeps more at every price, and the gap widens as the price rises, because Gumroad's percentage (about 12.9% with processing) is higher than Etsy's (9.5%). Gumroad's case is control and audience: if you sell to your own newsletter or social following, it lets you keep the buyer relationship. Etsy's case is search traffic you do not have to create. Many sellers list on both. Run your own numbers with the digital product pricing calculator.
Say you sell three freelancer templates — a client tracker, an invoice hub and a project board — at $12 each.
| Option | Price | You keep on Etsy | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| One template | $12.00 | $10.41 | The entry point most buyers start with |
| Bundle of three | $24.00 | $21.27 | 2× one template; buyers save $12 against buying separately |
| All three separately | $36.00 | $31.23 (three sales) | Rare: few buyers purchase all three one by one |
The bundle earns twice what a single sale does from the same buyer, and it needs no new design — only a cover image and a listing. List it alongside the singles so each listing links buyers to the others.
Pricing by hours spent. Ten hours of building is irrelevant to a buyer comparing your template with the next listing.
$1–$3 forever. At $2, Etsy's fixed fees take nearly a quarter of the sale, and there is no margin for ads or improvements.
One price for every audience. The same template structure, adapted and retitled for coaches and for students, can sell at two different prices.
Ignoring bundles. Three related templates at 1.5–2× one price lift average order value with no new design work.
Competing on price with the top seller. Their reviews let them charge what they like; a new shop wins on fit and clarity, not by being cheapest.
No free entry point. A small free template — one tracker from the paid system — on Gumroad or the Notion Marketplace lets buyers try your style before paying. Link it to the full version. It costs nothing to deliver and turns browsers into an audience you can sell the paid system to, which matters most if you sell outside Etsy's search.
Pick a template type with the Notion template ideas gap finder, build it in Craftific's Notion tools, and follow the full process in how to sell Notion templates. For printables instead of Notion, the printable price calculator does the same job.
Start from what the template replaces for the buyer. A habit tracker that saves a few minutes a day sits around $5–$12; a client portal that runs a coaching business can justify $39 or more. Then check the ten best-ranked listings for the same template type and position yourself inside their range.
Google's listing for Etsy's Notion templates page showed prices from $1 to $39 in October 2026, with most single templates well under $20. Bundles and business systems sit at the top of that range; $1–$3 listings are usually loss leaders.
On fees, Etsy keeps more per sale at every price we checked — on a $20 template you keep $17.65 on Etsy and $16.62 on Gumroad direct. Gumroad has no search traffic of its own beyond Discover, which takes 30%, so it suits sellers who bring their own audience.
Briefly, at most. A launch price for the first few weeks can help a new listing collect its first reviews, but a template priced at $2 forever attracts buyers who expect little and earns too little to fund ads or updates.
A bundle of three related templates usually sells for less than the three separately but more than any one — around 1.5 to 2 times the single price is a common starting point. It raises average order value without new design work.
Yes for anything above a simple tracker. A short setup guide or video lowers refund requests and lets you charge more, because the buyer is paying for a system that works on day one, not just a link.
