Part of: How to Sell Printables on Etsy (2026 Guide) · Printables & planners
Enter your price and see where it sits against comparable digital products' listed prices — the 25th percentile, median, 75th and 90th — from public Gumroad samples collected weekly. Below: how to price printables on Etsy, what you keep after fees, and when to bundle.
To price printables, check the median price of comparable listings, then position above or below it by how much you include. In Craftific's October 2026 Gumroad sample, printables had a median of $10 and coloring pages $9.99. On Etsy, prices under about $4 lose much of each sale to fixed fees, so bundle cheap printables.
Listed prices from public Gumroad category pages, collected by Craftific's weekly pipeline on 18 October 2026. Each sample is 36 products from the category's first page.
| Product type | 25th percentile | Median | 75th percentile | 90th percentile | Free in sample | Category size |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Printables (Self Improvement) | $5 | $10 | $25 | $27 | 2 of 36 | 990 |
| Coloring pages | $4 | $9.99 | $15 | $20 | 2 of 36 | 703 |
| KDP interiors | $1.50 | $3 | $14 | $19 | 6 of 36 | 341 |
| Low-content books | $1 | $1 | $5 | $49.97 | 6 of 36 | 122 |
| Notion templates (Business & Money) | $57 | $99 | $199.99 | $253 | 1 of 36 | 2,707 |
A sample of 36 shows the shape of a market, not an exact percentile. Gumroad buyers are often reached through the seller's own audience, so Etsy prices for the same product type are usually lower.
Insight: The spread matters more than the median. Printables run from $5 to $27 across the middle of the market, which means price is a positioning choice, not a fixed fact. The question is not "what do printables cost?" but "what does mine include compared with the listings around it?"
Gumroad prices run higher than Etsy's, because Gumroad buyers usually arrive through a creator's own audience. For an Etsy view, we looked at the Etsy listings Google showed in its shopping results on 24 October 2026:
| Search | Listings shown | Median price | Range | Listings on sale |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| printable planner etsy | 20 | $1.98 | $0.99–$13.99 | 7 of 20 |
| printable wall art etsy | 10 | $5.00 | $1.12–$12.80 | 5 of 10 |
Google's summary of Etsy's own category pages gave similar ranges: "$1 to $35" for ultimate printable planners and "$1 to $13" for digital prints.
Two things stand out. First, the low end of Etsy is crowded with $1–$2 printables, many of them on permanent "sale". Second, the listings with the most reviews were not the cheapest: a planner bundle at $13.99 had 213 reviews, while most sub-$2 listings had a handful or none. Competing on price puts you in the most crowded part of the market; competing on completeness puts you where the reviews are.

| Price | Etsy fees | You keep | Fees as share of price |
|---|---|---|---|
| $2.99 | $0.73 | $2.26 | 24.6% |
| $4.99 | $0.92 | $4.07 | 18.5% |
| $7.99 | $1.21 | $6.78 | 15.1% |
| $9.99 | $1.40 | $8.59 | 14.0% |
| $14.99 | $1.87 | $13.12 | 12.5% |
| $24.99 | $2.82 | $22.17 | 11.3% |
Moving a printable from $2.99 to $4.99 nearly doubles what you keep, from $2.26 to $4.07, because the fixed fees stay put.
Shops that sell steadily usually offer printables at three or four levels, so every buyer finds a step that fits:
| Step | What it is | Example price | Job in the shop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry | One useful page or a small set | $3–$4 | Low-risk first purchase; earns reviews |
| Core | The main product, complete | $6–$9 | Most of the sales |
| Bundle | The core plus related pages or sizes | $12–$15 | Raises the average order |
| Premium | Editable, extended or a complete system | $18–$25 | Fewer sales, best margin |
Example prices are positioned around the Etsy and Gumroad data above: entry just above Etsy's crowded $1–$2 band, core near Gumroad's $10 median, premium inside Gumroad's upper quarter. Link each step's listing to the next one up in its description, so a buyer who likes the entry item finds the bundle.
Bundling is the most reliable way to raise what each buyer pays without raising prices on single items:
Price a bundle at about 1.5–2 times the single item it is built around. Keep the single items listed too; the bundle then looks like a saving, and buyers who want one page still find it.
Pricing at $1–$2 to compete. It earns little, attracts bargain hunters and leaves no room for ads.
One price for everything. A 40-page planner and a single checklist should not cost the same.
Ignoring the median. Pricing far above the market without visible extra value makes buyers scroll on.
Never testing. Raise a well-selling listing by $1 and watch conversion for a month before deciding.
Leaving a permanent sale running. Seven of the twenty planner listings in our sample showed a sale price. When everything is on sale, a sale stops meaning anything; keep discounts for launches and seasonal moments, and let the normal price carry the listing for the rest of the year.

Most single printables sell for $3–$10 and bundles for $10–$25. Start at the median of the ten best-ranked listings for your exact product, go higher if you include more pages, sizes or an editable version, and avoid single printables under about $4 on Etsy.
In a sample of 36 printables from Gumroad's Self Improvement section on 18 October 2026, the 25th percentile was $5, the median $10, the 75th percentile $25 and the 90th $27. Two of the 36 were free.
Etsy's fixed fees — a $0.20 listing fee and $0.25 processing — stay the same at any price. On a $2.99 printable all fees take about 25% of the sale; at $9.99 they take about 14%. Bundling three $3 printables into one $9.99 listing keeps far more.
For a few weeks, a sale on a fair price works better than a permanently low price. Etsy shows the original price crossed out, which signals value, and you can end the sale once the listing has its first reviews.

Usually yes. Buyers compare, and a much lower price on your own store undercuts your Etsy listing. Offer a bonus or bundle on your store instead of a lower price.
